Wedding Month Beauty Guide: Prep-Makeup and Hair
1 Month Before
This is a time to try things out and continue maintaining your usual services that are higher risk. Accidents happen but if that’s the case there’s time to fix it!
Everyone gets pimples, don’t stress. Find a spot treatment that works well with your skin just in case you get a pimple during your wedding week. Spot treatments can also be helpful in preventing new spots from popping up!
Oh, spray tans. If it doesn’t look good, don’t worry - you have time to exfoliate it off. If you’re happy with the results, then please book in regular appointments to maintain the tan.
Hair appointments. Keep up with your coloring and/or cuts.
Facials: Glow, glow, glow. Pre-wedding skin routine is essential – book in for your regular facial a month before the big day to maintain that glow!
1 Week Before
Get your bridal party involved! Encourage your bridal party to find inspiration images for their hair and makeup. Pinterest is helpful!
There are certain services that should be done a week before due to allergic reactions and sensitivities. Not all of the following apply to every person and one should not get everything done unless it is a part of their usually self-care routine.
Facial waxing
Lash Extensions
Do not add anything new to your skin routine
If pimples appear please do not pick at them, apply pimple spot treatment (that you have tried before)
Nail appointments
All clients will receive a basic touch up kit on the day of the wedding but here are some suggestions that could help you maintain your look even longer. Personal shopping services are available for these items - please inquire if needed.
Oil papers
Lip touch up
Face powders
Hair combs
1 Day Before
Wash your hair the morning before your wedding day. Hair needs to have some natural oils in order to hold a curl well. If you need to wash your hair daily, please let your stylist know.
If needed, the stylist will add dry shampoos and hair powders to help freshen up your hair.
If pimples appear please do not pick at them, apply pimple spot treatment (that you have tried before).
Use a gentle exfoliant and a mask that you have been using for the last 6 months.
Do not use new product on your face or hair to avoid any surprises.
The Wedding Day
It is your time to relax! Here are some pointers to make the day perfect:
Please bring hair accessories and extensions if applicable.
Please apply your day-time skincare routine before your appointment.
If you prefer to use certain product of your own please bring it with you.
If you do not wish to use false lashes and would like to have a full mascara look please bring your own mascara. Due to sanitary reasons only disposable mascara wands are used. Unfortunately, disposable mascara wands will not provide the same full look as the use of the actual wand.
Please reach out if you have any questions.
I can’t wait to work with you on your big day!
Many hugs,
-Ksenia
